Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that David Luiz is available for the match against Molde on Thursday evening.

The Gunners will take on Molde at the Emirates Stadium in Europa League Group B.

Brazil international central defender Luiz is fit and available for the game, according to Arteta.

The former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain star, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, has missed the Gunners’ past two competitive games.

Luiz suffered a thigh injury against Leicester City, and sat out the Gunners’ Europa League victory over Dundalk and the Premier League win against Manchester United.

Arteta told Arsenal’s official website: “He is available, he has been training well over the past few days so he will be involved in the squad.”

Boost for Arsenal

Luiz is a very important player in the current Arsenal team and is a leader at the back.

The 33-year-old’s return from injury will be a boost for the Gunners in their quest to make it three wins out of three in the Europa League.

The North London club have picked up six points from two matches in Group B, and so have Molde.
