The Whites suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wolves at Elland Road in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Phillips scored an own goal for the Wanderers, who picked up all three points from the encounter.
The England international midfielder suffered a shoulder injury in the match, with Leeds stating on their official website that the 24-year-old could be on the sidelines for six weeks.
Phillips has taken to Twitter to express his disappointment at the defeat for Leeds and at his injury.
Tough one to take but proud of our performance as a team. We dust ourselves down and go again. Unfortunately during last night's match I suffered a shoulder injury which will leave me out for a few weeks. pic.twitter.com/lquj97O8wi

Luckily I wont be needing surgery and have already started my rehab so looking forward to getting back on the pitch as soon as possible.
