Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has taken to Twitter to express his delight at making his first-team debut for the club.

Henderson was in action for United in their Carabao Cup third-round tie against Luton Town away from home on Tuesday evening.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side won the tie 3-0, thanks to goals from Juan Mata (penalty), Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.

Henderson made his competitive debut for the Red Devils at Kenilworth Road, and the 23-year-old is over the moon with his achievement and has expressed his joy on Twitter.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday evening, hosts Luton had 42% of the possession, took 10 shots of which two were on target, and earned four corners.

Visitors United had 58% of the possession, took 19 shots of which 12 were on target, and earned eight corners.

The Red Devils will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Brighton and Hove Albion away from home at the American Express Community Stadium.
