As announced on United’s official website, Henderson has put pen to paper on a new contract which will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2025.
There is an also the option to extend the young goalkeepers deal by one year.
The 23-year-old has been on the books of United since 2011, but he has yet to establish himself in the first team.
However, the former England Under-21 international has had a very strong loan spell at Sheffield United, and he will now be looking to compete with David de Gea and Sergio Romero for the goalkeeper’s position in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.
United have finished in the top four of the Premier League table this season and will play in the Champions League in 2020-21.
Henderson is overjoyed to have signed a new contract with United and has expressed his delight on Twitter.

Henderson has also shared his joy at committing his long-term future at United on the club’s official website.
The goalkeeper said: “The pathway that I have been on for the past five years has been fantastic for my development and the invaluable loan period at Sheffield United has been part of that.
“The goalkeeping department at United is excellent; there are three top-level goalkeepers who have achieved so much in the game and I look forward to working with the group. The faith that the manager and the club have shown in me with this contract means a lot to me and will continue my progression as a goalkeeper.
“I’ll be giving everything to improve every day so that I can play as many games as possible for this great club. Now I am looking forward to joining up with the England squad and then preparing for the season ahead.”
