Arsenal winger Willian has raved about his Brazilian compatriot and new club teammate Gabriel Martinelli.

Willian has recently joined Arsenal on a free transfer after leaving London and Premier League rivals Chelsea.

The Brazil international, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has raved about his compatriot Martinelli and has hailed his qualities.

Willian told Arsenal’s official website about Martinelli: “He has a great future I think. He can be one of the best players in the Premier League, no doubt.

“It’s because of his quality and also without the ball you can see that he is always trying to help his team and do the job without the ball. So I think he can be one of the best players.

“I think when he starts to play again, I know he is injured now, but when he starts again, it’s about time for him to go to the Brazilian national team.”
