Lyndon Dykes has expressed his delight at joining Queens Park Rangers from Livingston in the summer transfer window.
QPR in the Championship in England have announced on their official website that they have secured the services of striker Dykes from Scottish Premiership side Livingston.
The 24-year-old striker have signed a four-year contract with Rangers, with Sky Sports reporting that the London club have paid a transfer fee of 2 million pounds.
Dykes is over the moon to have joined Rangers and is not worried about playing in the Championship.
The striker told QPR’s official website: “I’m buzzing, obviously! Being at Livingston was great but to be at a club like this, I just want to put my head down now and kick on.
“I am a player who works hard for the team. I like to work hard for my team-mates, I want them to know that Im putting it in for them. I am always going to give 100%. I am always willing to learn and hopefully I can score a few goals as well.”
Dykes added about the physicality of the Championship: “Thats not a worry for me! I like that side of the game sometimes. I’m willing to get in there and rough some people up!”
QPR manager Mark Warburton is delighted to have been able to sign Dykes and is looking forward to working with him.
Warburton said: “I am delighted, delighted! He is a player who can score goals and he showed his quality against Rangers and Celtic last season.
“He is a hard worker, a good finisher and I think he is going to go on to become a good international for Scotland.”
