West Ham United and Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Josh Maja from Bordeaux in the summer transfer window.

Rangers are looking into the possibility of the former Sunderland striker as a potential replacement for Alfredo Morelos, who is on the radar of French outfit Lille, according to the Sky Sports.

West Ham manager David Moyes worked with the 21-year-old when he was in charge of Sunderland, and the Scotsman reportedly wants to bring the Nigeria international striker to the London Stadium this summer.

Although Maja is not pushing for a move this summer, Bordeaux could reportedly be forced to sell due to their financial situation.

Maja has been on the books of Bordeaux since January 2019 when he joined from Sunderland for a transfer fee that could rise to 3.5 million pounds.

The striker made three starts and four substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for the French club during the second half of the 2018-19 campaign, scoring one goal in the process.

The 21-year-old made six starts and 15 substitute appearances in the league for Bordeaux during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring six goals and providing two assists in the process.
