Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Juan Foyth from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship.

It is the first time that Leeds will feature in the top flight of English football since 2004.

The West Yorkshire outfit are on the hunt for a new central defender, and they have reportedly identified Spurs youngster Foyth.

According to The Sun, Leeds are lining up a 15 million pound move for the 22-year-old central defender.

The Whites are also trying to sign Ben White from Brighton and Hove Albion in a 20 million pound move, but their interest in Foyth is irrespective of that deal going through, according to the report.

Foyth is reportedly willing to switch to Leeds and work under his Argentine compatriot Bielsa.

The Argentina international central defender joined Tottenham from Estudiantes in 2017, but he has failed to establish himself in the North London clubs starting lineup and has not started a match for them since December 28, 2019.

The 22-year-old played 67 minutes in the Premier League and 197 minutes in the Champions League for Tottenham this season.
