Henderson is back at his parent club United after a loan spell at Premier League rivals Sheffield United.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper was a regular for the Blades this past season, as Chris Wilder’s side enjoyed a successful return to the Premier League.
The Blades ended up as high as ninth in the league table with 54 points from 38 matches.
Henderson was on loan at Bramall Lane during the 2018-19 campaign, and played an important role in the team clinching automatic promotion from the Championship.
According to Sky Sports, United are in talks with Henderson over a new contract which would see him become one of the best paid goalkeepers in Europe.
Negotiations have been going on for several weeks now, with United keen on the youngster signing a new five-year contract, but no agreement has been finalised yet, according to the report.
David de Gea is the first-choice goalkeeper at United at the moment, but the Spain international has made some costly errors in recent times.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will play in the Champions League next season after finishing third in the Premier League in 2019-20.
