Real Madrid and Argentine international striker Javier Saviola has acknowledged that he could be on his way out of the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
Saviola was signed on a free transfer in the summer of 2007 but the former River Plate striker barely featured in La Liga last season for the Madrid giants. In the summer Saviola was rumoured to be on his way to another club but he chose to stick to the Bernabeu for one more season.
But it now appears that the patience of the former FC Barcelona striker is running out. He has again been almost willingly ignored by Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster who has openly declared his wish for a striker in January, thereby implying that he doesn’t rate Saviola too much.
Saviola said:
“I’ll try to end the season well and then analyze my situation.”
Saviola was signed by Barcelona from River Plate in the summer of 2001 but he spent two seasons on loan between 2004 and 2006 and wasn’t quite rated by the then Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard. It appears that the former New Maradona is on his way out of the Spanish capital.
