Sanchez joined Italian powerhouse Inter on a season-long loan deal from Premier League giants United in the summer of 2019.
The former Arsenal forward has made 10 starts and 11 substitute appearances in Serie A for the Nerazzurri this season, scoring four goals and providing eight assists in the process.
The Chile international also provided one assist in 67 minutes in the Champions League, and played twice in the Europa League and thrice in Coppa Italia.
According to BBC Sport, Inter want to make Sanchez’s loan deal from United permanent in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that although the 31-year-old forward’s weekly salary of 400,000 is beyond Inter’s means, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not want the former Udinese and Barcelona in his team at Old Trafford.
United have finished third in the Premier League table this season with 66 points from 38 matches and will play in the Champions League in 2020-21.
As for Inter, Antonio Conte’s side are second in the Serie A standings at the moment with 79 points from 37 matches.
