Arsenal’s official Facebook account made light of Tottenham when they posted highlights of the Gunners’ win away to Sheffield United, with the caption “it’s not easy beating Sheffield United at Bramall Lane” coming only days after Spurs lost to the same opponent at the same venue.
Mourinho acknowledged Arsenal’s coaches or players are far removed from what goes on their social media pages but said it was symbolic of a club who have little to celebrate.
“I think if they were top of the league or fighting for top four in a really good moment they wouldn’t enjoy the problems of others,” Mourinho told Sky Sports.
“In the end it says more about them, they don’t have much to celebrate, they have to get every opportunity to do it. They are in a very similar situation to us in the table.
“I don’t like to connect the club with some post or tweet. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I am right, but the person that did it probably did it by themselves.
“I don’t believe it was (Mikel) Arteta that posted, I don’t believe it was (Granit) Xhaka or another captain that did it.
“It was probably some guy that was at home for three months working from home. No problem at home, but we will be waiting for them.”
Mourinho’s Tottenham take on Everton on Monday night, with nothing less than victory required to keep Spurs in the race for Europe.
Spurs may be without Dele Alli for the Toffees clash with Mourinho revealing he has had a hamstring problem.
“There was something today in training with Dele, but when I say something its because I dont think its big, and because I dont really know what it is,” he said.
“The bad thing of a press conference 48 hours before the game is that there is still a training session tomorrow, so you cannot know what I do not know, if hes available or not.
“If you ask me at this moment, I would say that he will be available, but, I dont know.”
