If you thought Adama Traore was a flash in the pan, think again.

The Wolves star didn’t even play the entire game, yet he made an enormous contribution to their 2-0 win over West Ham.

Rising Star

Before the break in the Premier League, Traore was beginning to be someone who was spoken about in hushed terms. After a slightly nomadic journey, Wolves manager Nuno Santo finally got the best out of the former Barcelona, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough man.

Adama Traore is now considered to be one of the most dangerous forwards in the Premier League.

His assist for Raul Jimenez took him to eight for the campaign, which means he’s only behind Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kevin de Bruyne in the overall assist standings for the campaign.

Roadrunner

Traore is incredibly fast. So fast he makes fast guys look not fast. He’s so fast he was told to slow down while playing football, and now he plays it better than he ever has before.

He’s started this little mini-campaign just like he runs: fast. In just 26 minutes he set up a goal and completed four dribbles to change the game in favour of Wolves.

He’s an incredible man to be able to bring on as a substitute, and you can’t imagine West Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell would have been too happy looking up and seeing Traore getting ready to come on.

There’s something unique about watching this man play football. He’s build like a rugby player and it’s almost unfair watching him brush off his leaner, stringier opponents.

Will It Last?

This is the first season Traore has really come into his own, and we were all waiting to see if it was a flash in the pan. The way he started against the Hammers, it won’t be much surprise to see a queue of teams lining up to sign the forward, when finances allow.

Traore is a unique forward, and now he’s got up to speed there’s no way the man will slow down now.
