According to Sky Sports, Walcott has undergone abdominal surgery and will not be available for Everton’s Premier League game against Liverpool at Goodison Park on June 21.

The former Arsenal forward reportedly underwent an operation on Monday evening after developing symptoms following a return to training, as Premier League clubs prepare for the resumption of the season next week.

The 31-year-old England international will now reportedly not return to training for four weeks.

Walcott has made 14 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for Everton so far this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process.

The Englishman has also played once in the FA Cup for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this campaign.

During the 2018-19 campaign, Walcott made 24 starts and 13 substitute appearances in the league for the Toffees, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process.

Everton are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with 37 points from 29 matches, as many as 11 points behind Chelsea, who are currently fourth in the standings and occupy the final Champions League spot.
