Hugill moved to Championship club QPR on loan from Premier League outfit West Ham in the summer of 2019.
Football in England was suspended in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the Premier League and the Championship are set to resume next week.
The second tier of English football will end at the end of July, and West Ham and QPR have announced on their respective official websites that 28-year-old striker Hugill will stay at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in London until the end of the campaign.
Stats
Hugill has made 26 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Championship for QPR so far this season, scoring 11 goals and providing one assist in the process.
The former Preston North End striker has also scored two goals in two FA Cup ties for Mark Warburton’s side this campaign.
QPR are 13th in the Championship table at the moment with 50 points from 37 matches, six points behind Preston North End, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.
Meanwhile, West Ham find themselves 16th in the Premier League table with 27 points from 29 matches, level on points with third-from-bottom Bournemouth.
