According to The Times, Kante is back in contact training with his Chelsea teammates, having been working on his fitness alone at the training ground for almost two weeks.
The 29-year-old had health concerns about contracting coronavirus and had been given permission by his club to stay away from his teammates.
Due to no positive cases at Chelsea following the recent round of coronavirus testing, Kante has decided to get involved in contact training, according to the report.
This will be a boost for Frank Lampard’s side, who are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
The Blues are fourth in the league table at the moment with 48 points from 29 matches.
Chelsea’s first game back in the Premier League will be against Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park on Sunday.
Kante, who has been on the books of Chelsea since the summer of 2016 when he moved from Premier League rivals Leicester City, has made 16 starts and two substitute appearances in the league for the Blues so far this season, scoring three goals in the process.
