Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to sign Kurt Zouma from his former club Chelsea.

According to RMC Sport, Mourinho has named Zouma in the list of players he has given to the Tottenham hierarchy to sign in the summer transfer window.

The report in the French news outlet has claimed that Chelsea are open to selling the 25-year-old central defender this summer.

Zouma knows Mourinho well, with the France international having worked with the Portuguese when he was in charge of Chelsea.

Mourinho was also linked with a move for the defender when he was the manager of Manchester United.

With Jan Vertonghen out of contract at Tottenham at the end of the month, the North London outfit do need to find a suitable replacement.

Stats

Zouma has been on the books of Chelsea since 2014 and is now a regular member of the first team.

The defender - who had loan spells at Saint-Etienne, Stoke City and Everton - has made 19 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League and has provided one assist in six Champions League games for the Blues so far this season.

Chelsea are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 48 points from 29 matches, while their London rivals Spurs are currently eighth in the standings with 41 points from 29 games.
