Charlie Nicholas has said that Arsenal should sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer transfer window. The former

The former Arsenal forward believes that if the Gunners get decent money for the striker this summer, then they should cash in on him.

Aubameyang is out of contract at the Gunners in the summer of 2021, and no new deal is in place.

If Arsenal decide to keep the Gabon international striker beyond this summer, then they run the risk of losing the 30-year-old on a free transfer at the end of 2020-21 campaign.

Nicholas told Sky Sports: “We know Arsenal are going to have to trade quite a bit as they don’t have the money.

“Surely by now Arsenal know if Aubameyang’s going to sign a contract, and if they can get decent money they should sell him.”

Prolific Arsenal Spell

Aubameyang has been on the books of Arsenal since January 2018 when he joined from Borussia Dortmund for 56 million pounds.

The striker has been superb for the Gunners since his switch to the Emirates Stadium, and has been banging in the goals for fun.

After scoring 10 goals in the second half of the 2017-18 Premier League season, the former AC Milan player scored 22 goals in the league in 2018-19 and has found the net 17 times in the league so far this season.

Arsenal are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 40 points from 28 matches, as many as eight points behind fourth-placed and London rivals Chelsea.
