It has been reported that Liverpool recently approached Dembele and his club Barcelona and offered a loan deal with the option to make it permanent in the summer of 2021.
However, according to the report, the 23-year-old forward has turned down the Reds’ offer and has made it clear that he does not plan on leaving Barcelona this summer.

Dembele has been on the books of Barcelona since the summer of 2017 when he joined from German club Borussia Dortmund an initial transfer fee of 96.8 million pounds.
Much was expected of the 23-year-old forward when he arrived at Camp Nou, but the France international has had injury issues in recent years and has not made the kind of impact that he would have liked to.
So far this season, the forward has scored one goal in 358 minutes in La Liga and has played 136 minutes in the Champions League.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the Frenchman made 20 starts and nine substitute appearances in the league for Barca, scoring eight goals and providing five assists in the process.
The 23-year-old also scored three goals and provided one assist in eight Champions League games for the Blaugrana.
Back in 2017-18, Dembele scored three goals and provided six assists in 17 La Liga games and scored one goal in three Champions League matches.
Barcelona are at the top of the La Liga table at the moment with 58 points from 27 matches, two points clear of second-placed and bitter rivals Real Madrid.
