Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison has taken to Twitter to express his delight at returning to training.

Premier League clubs have returned to no-contact training from this week, as the authorities try to get the season back underway.

The 2019-20 Premier League campaign was suspended on March 13 due to the coronavirus pandemic and amid lockdown measures in the UK.

Maddison is back in training for Leicester, and the 23-year-old seems to be delighted with that.

Stats

Maddison joined Leicester from Norwich City in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee of 20 million pounds.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder made 35 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Foxes last season, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists in the process.

So far this season, the England international has made 27 starts and one substitute appearance in the league for Brendan Rodgers’s side, scoring six goals and providing three assists in the process.

Leicester are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 53 points from 29 matches.
