Thierry Henry has raved about Manchester City and Belgium international midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.The Arsenal leg

The Arsenal legend, who is now in charge of Montreal Impact in Major League Soccer, worked with De Bruyne when he was the assistant manager of the Belgium national football team from 2016 until 2018.

Henry has said that the former Chelsea midfielder is an amazing player, and has stated that the 28-year-old is not normal.

Henry told Sky Sports about De Bruyne: “He’s an amazing player, it’s just stupid what we are witnessing and I hope people in football do realise that the boy is just not normal.

“His brain is somewhere else, it’s just ridiculous and I came across him and worked with him and he’s one of those guys you just have to let play because if you start to understand and comprehend what he’s doing, you’re going to have a headache. He’s on another planet.”

De Bruyne has been on the books of City since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Wolfsburg for a transfer fee of 51 million pounds.

The 28-year-old has been superb for the Citizens over the years and has established himself as a key figure for the club.

The Belgium international midfielder has won the Premier League title twice, the FA Cup once, and the EFL Cup on four occasions with City so far.

De Bruyne has made 25 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for City so far this season, scoring eight goals and providing 16 assists in the process.

The midfielder has also scored one goal and provided two assists in five Champions League matches for Pep Guardiolas side this campaign.
