The Daily Mail has reported that Old Trafford chiefs want 35 million pounds for the 21-year-old Portuguese right-back, who has struggled to break into the first team thanks to the arrival of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thinks highly of the defender and doesn’t want to see him leave whenever the transfer window opens up, but PSG feel like testing his resolve.
Got Potential
If the French giants manage to make the move, they will be investing in potential not ability - which is why Manchester United are placing such a high premium on Diogo Dalot.
He arrived two years ago but has struggled to make a name for himself in the Premier League and has played just 33 times. Despite that, PSG are tracking him and could convince the 21-year-old to swap northern England for France.
Good Numbers
His whole career has been based on potential as United picked up the right-back after he played just eight games for Porto and six in the top flight. But, according to Smarter Scout, Dalot is a talented defender and he should be featuring more.

Dalot scores incredibly highly in terms of defending quality and defending quantity with 99 and 96, while the right-back is incredibly strong in the air and in terms of disrupting opposition attacks and making recoveries. The Portuguese international is also a fine dribbler and can link-up with the rest of play to a high standard.
And so, despite the lack of first team football, there is plenty of data to suggest that this is a player who can turn into an elite right-back. Thus, that initial fee quoted by United isn’t a reflection of his current ability but on his potential.
We’ve seen rich clubs pay well over the odds for players they think are going to make it big in the game, and Diogo Dalot could be another can off the rank.
