The 30-year-old former Queens Park Rangers and Southampton forward has said if he gets the opportunity to play for Celtic or Rangers in Scotland, then he will take it.
Austin said on Keeping the Ball on the Ground Podcast: “Yeah I think so. The Old Firm derby is the pull isn’t it to play in Scotland.
“You want to win things as such too. If the opportunity came up would I go? I think so yeah.”
West Bromwich Albion Spell
Austin joined West Brom from Southampton in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee of 4 million pounds.
The 30-year-old forward has made 13 starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Championship for West Brom so far this season, scoring eight goals and providing one assist in the process.
Football in England is suspended at the moment due to the coronavirus pandemic.
West Brom are currently second in the Championship table with 70 points from 37 matches, a point being leaders Leeds United and six points clear of third-placed Fulham.
Scottish Football
Meanwhile, Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 80 points from 30 matches, as many as 13 points clear of second-placed and bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers, who have a game in hand.
Football in Scotland is suspended until June 10 at least, and matches are unlikely to be played before July.
