The former Celtic and Southampton central defender believes that Ederson is better than all goalkeepers other than his teammate Alisson.
The Netherlands international made the comments while picking his Premier League five-a-side team comprising of players who are not from his Liverpool team.
Van Dijk has picked Ederson, but the former Celtic star has made it clear that he does not think that 26-year-old Brazil international goalkeeper is as good as his compatriot Alisson.
Van Dijk told Liverpool’s official website: “I think he is an outstanding goalkeeper.
“I think this season there have been more better goalkeepers than we have seen maybe in the past, but I think Ederson is the best of the rest - I think Alisson is still number one, that’s my feeling.”
