Van Dijk - who joined Liverpool from Premier League rivals Southampton in December 2018 for 75 million pounds - believes that Laporte is an outstanding defender.
The Netherlands international central defender has included the 25-year-old centre-back in his Premier League 5-a-side team in which he was not allow to name any of his Liverpool teammates.
Van Dijk told Liverpool’s official website about Laporte: “He’s been showing how important he is for their team and I think he’s an outstanding defender. I think he’s a very, very, very good defender, so that’s why I pick him.”

Van Dijk has scored four goals and provided one assist in 29 Premier League appearances and has played eight times in the Champions League for Liverpool so far this season.
Laporte, who has had injury issues this campaign, has played seven times in the Premier League and once in the Champions League for City so far in 2018-19.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the 25-year-old Frenchman scored three goals and provided three assists in 35 league matches and scored two goals in 10 Champions League games for the Citizens.
