Evans has said that Old Firm clubs Rangers and Celtic have watched the 20-year-old defender.

According to The Scottish Sun, the Gers and the Hoops are keeping tabs on the youngster.

Evans told The Scottish Sun: “Jack has everything. He’s two-footed, is good in the air and he’s a competitor.

“He’s got a bright future, make no mistake. I know Ross Wilson at Rangers well. H’es got an extensive scouting network.

“They’ve watched Jack numerous times. I know Celtic have, too. It would be more of a shock to me if they weren’t watching him.”

Tucker has made 26 starts and two substitute appearances in League One for Gillingham so far this season.

The youngster defender also played thrice in the FA Cup and three times in the EFL Trophy.

League tables
