The current Spanish season might still be a few weeks away but Real Madrid are already lining up the players that they would like to smuggle to the Bernabeu in the summer for next season’s campaign. And according to the Italian press, midfielder Gennaro Gattuso of AC Milan is firmly at the top of President Ramon Calderon’s books.
Gattuso has just turned 30 and maybe age has got to him. This season he has performed really poorly for Milan and is supposedly on the way out of San Siro. Milan supremo Silvio Berlusconi has already made it clear that he would revamp the entire Milan squad in the summer and this has kindled the Italian press into speculating that the Rosonerris might just offload the Rhino.
Turin-based sports daily Tuttosport reports that Real Madrid are about to launch a 30 million euro bid for the former Glasgow Rangers midfielder since they are almost certain to sell Mahamadou Diarra at the end of the season possibly to Inter Milan. Of course that the Gennaro Gattuso speculation has been flared by a Juventus-inclined sports daily might well imply that the story is actually something that has been coooked up by a very imaginative mind.
