Everton forward Theo Walcott has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Crystal Palace at home

The Toffees got the better of Palace 3-1 at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Comfortable win

Bernard put Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the lead after 18 minutes, but Christian Benteke restored parity for the London club six minutes into the second half.

Richarlison scored for the Toffees on 58 minutes to make it 2-1, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin wrapped up the points with his side’s third on 88 minutes.

Delight

Walcott has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for Everton, but the former Arsenal forward is disappointed that he had to come off in the 26th minute due to injury.

Stats

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Everton had 47% of the possession, took 14 shots of which eight were on target, and earned four corners.

Visitors Palace had 53% of the possession, took 10 shots of which two were on target, and earned six corners.

The result means that Everton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 36 points from 26 matches, just five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who have a game in hand.

As for Palace, the Eagles currently find themselves 14th in the standings with 30 points from 26 games, just six points above the relegation zone.
