Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has taken to Twitter to express his delight at helping his side get the better of Bournemouth in the FA Cup.

The Gunners won 2-1 against their Premier League rivals Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the fourth round of the prestigious cup competition on Monday evening.

Bukayo Saka put Mikel Arteta’s side in the lead after just five minutes, and 20-year-old striker Nketiah doubled the advantage on 26 minutes.

Although Bournemouth made a late rally and halved the deficit in the fourth minute of injury time through Sam Surridge, the Gunners held on for the win.

Nketiah has expressed his delight on Twitter at scoring for Arsenal and at the North London outfit’s progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Vitality Stadium on Monday evening, hosts Bournemouth had 41% of the possession, took seven shots of which two were on target, and earned four corners.

Visitors Arsenal had 59% of the possession, took seven shots of which three were on target, and earned six corners.

Back in Action

Arsenal will face League One side Portsmouth away from home at Fratton Park in the fifth round of the FA Cup on March 3.

The Gunners will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League.
