Tottenham Hotspur central defender Toby Alderweireld has taken to Twitter to express his delight at signing a new contract with the club.
As announced on Tottenham’s official website on Friday, Alderweireld has put pen to paper on a new deal with the North London outfit.
As per the new terms, the 30-year-old Belgium international central defender will stay at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until 2023.
The former Ajax has been on the books of Spurs since 2015, and his original contract with the Premier League club was due to run out at the end of the season.
Having signed a new contract with Tottenham, Alderweireld has taken to Twitter to express his delight at committing his long-term future to the club and is excited for what lies ahead.

Top-Four Challenge
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and ascertain their spot in the 2020-21 Champions League campaign.
Spurs are fifth in the league table at the moment with 26 points from 17 matches, just three points behind fourth-placed and London rivals Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho’s side will face Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
