Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has spoken highly of the club’s stadium and training ground

Mourinho has been appointed as the new Tottenham manager following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino was relieved of his duties at Spurs following a run of disappointing results which has put their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table under serious doubt.

Mourinho is one of the best and most experienced managers in the world, having worked at Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid among other clubs.

The Portuguese boss has raved about Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Tottenham’s training facilities.

Mourinho told Tottenham’s official website: “I think you are too humble when you say, ‘beautiful stadium’, too humble. You have to say the best stadium in the world. That’s the reality.

“The training ground is second to none. It probably can only be compared with some American Football training grounds. You cannot compare it with European football at any level, and I’ve been in the majority of the best places.

“It’s impossible to compare, the same with the stadium. It’s something that has to make us all very proud, but not just that, the conditions we have to work in are absolutely amazing.”

Top-Four Challenge

Tottenham have finished in the top four of the Premier League table for the past four seasons and also reached the final of the Champions League during the 2018-19 campaign.

However, things have been rocky for Spurs so far this season, and there is a chance that the North London outfit could miss out on a Champions League place.

Tottenham are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 14 points from 12 matches, as many as 11 points behind fourth-placed and defending English champions Manchester City.

Spurs are currently second in Champions League Group B with seven points from four matches, five points behind leaders Bayern Munich and four points clear of third-placed Red Star Belgrade.
