The France international defensive midfielder has not played for a month due to a groin problem.
The 28-year-old was also injured earlier in the season, and has made only three starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Blues so far this season, scoring two goals in the process.
Chelsea boss Lampard has said that Kante is fit and available for the Champions League Group H match against Ajax at Stamford Bridge in London.
Lampard told Chelsea’s official website: “Kante is in the squad so he is fit and it looks nicely like the injury and the few niggles he was getting have cleared up and we have been able get some work into him. It was always stop-start before that. He is in the squad and available.”
Boost for Chelsea
Chelsea are doing well at the moment, and the return of Kante to full fitness is only going to make the Blues better.
The 28-year-old is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world, and the former Leicester City star is going to enhance their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table and also go far in the Champions League.
Successful season
Chelsea are at the top of the Champions League Group H at the moment with six points from three matches, level on points with second-placed Ajax.
The Blues are currently fourth in the Premier League table with 23 points from 11 matches.
