The Three Lions suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Czech Republic away from home in Prague in the Euro 2020 Group A qualifier on Friday evening.
Star striker Kane put Gareth Southgate’s side the lead from the penalty spot in the fifth minute.
The hosts equalised through Jakub Brabec just minutes later, and Zdenek Ondrasek made it 2-1 to Jaroslav Silhavy’s side in the 85th minute.
The result means that England will have to wait to book their place in the 2020 European Championship finals.
The Three Lions are at the top of Group A at the moment with 12 points from five matches, level on points with second-placed Czech Republic, who have played six games.
England can qualify for the finals on Monday if they get maximum points against Bulgaria and Kosovo failed to get the better of Montenegro.
England striker Kane has taken to Twitter express his disappointment at the loss for his team, and the Tottenham striker has made it clear that he knows that he and his teammates need to be better and improve.
Last night is a wake up call for us. We have to be better and improve. Bulgaria next. pic.twitter.com/qGVGnfUD2e
