Hull City v Arsenal live & preview EPL 2016-17

Hull City will be looking forward to get the better of Arsenal on Saturday, as the two teams meet for their Premier League fixture. The match will be played in the KCOM Stadium, starting at 15:00 hours, BST.

While many may wonder that this will be an easy win for Arsenal, Hull City have been proving so far this season that they aren’t meant to be taken lightly. The Tigers are roaring high, having started with a 2-1 win against Leicester City and 2-0 win against Swansea.

Last weekend however, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley. This was still an acceptable score, seeing that the week before that, they held their own against Manchester United and lost by just 1-0. For them, Robert Snodgrass has been the key attacker up front, while Curtis Davies has been leading the charge back at the defense. All of this is still quite impressive, given their injury concerns.

In comparison to Arsenal however, they still have a long way to go. The Gunners may have started on the shaky note, but are certainly one of the favorites to finish in the top four this season again.

Last weekend, they defeated Southampton 2-1, which they followed with a 1-1 draw against PSG in the Champions League midweek. Shkodran Mustafi’s addition to defense is bearing its fruit already, and he is bound to get better in the coming weeks as he gets used to his new side.

However, considering their forwards, the big names still have a lot of room for improvement. Mesut Ozil is yet to create an assist for his side this year, while Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott have been relatively quiet too. Arsenal’s star signing Granit Xhaka too has been playing along the similar lines.

Nonetheless, this match against Hull City gives them the perfect opportunity to break free. Statistics are in their favor too, which show that the Gunners have won their last five matches against Hull, away from home. Combining this with the highly superior and experienced squad which Arsenal have, they ought to win this one rather comfortably.
