Real Madrid welcome Getafe to the ‘Estadio Santiago Bernabéu’ in Madrid, Spain in game week 14 of season 2015-16 in the Spanish Primera Division. The game kicks off at 16:00 CEST on Saturday, December 05, 2015.
Real are currently in the third place after their defeat to Barcelona at home and now have 27 points from the 13 matches. The visitors occupy the 13th position in the league table with 14 points from their 31 games and should not pose a huge threat to the home team.
Real Madrid have slowly recovered from 0-4 loss to Barcelona at home and have now won three matches on the bounce in all competitions. Their last five league games have resulted in three wins and two defeats. The wins have come against Eibar, Las Palmas, Celta Vigo but the back to back defeats to Sevilla and Barcelona meant that they dropped from first to third in the league.
Getafe meanwhile have had a poor month with just one win in their last five in the league. The win came this past week against Villarreal which they won 2-0.
Three other defeats to Eibar, Barcelona and Sevilla and a draw against Rayo Vallecano have hampered their progress in the table and they could find themselves looking down at the relegation battle if they do not stop the slide.
Gareth Bale is back in action and scored in the last league game along with Christiano Ronaldo who will once again lead the line up front. The likes of Isco, Jesé and Cheryshev had a good game midweek in the Copa Del Rey and will stake claims for a place in the starting eleven.
The visitors on the other hand will hope that the likes of Álvaro Vázquez, Lafita, Šćepović and Pablo Sarabia will have an excellent game and hold Madrid to a well-earned draw.
Real are the big favourites going into the game and will be keen to get back winning ways and begin a run of their own. Much remains to be seen, however, of the resistance that Getafe can put up at the Spanish Capital.
