On Saturday, November 21, West Bromwich Albion FC hosts Arsenal FC in week 13 of the English Premier League. The game will be played at The Hawthorns in the city of West Bromwich and will kick off at 16:00 BST.
The home side is currently 13th on the league table with 14 point from 12 games, while the visitors are 2nd on the table on goal difference, with 26 points from 12 games.
A win for the West Bromwich side can see them climb two places up the table into 11th place, while a defeat could see them drop three places to 16th. A win for the Londoners can see them go top of the table, while a defeat can see them slump to 4th position.
The Baggies, managed by Tony Pulis are in decent form, winning two and losing three of their last five games. These wins were against Sunderland (1-0 on October 17), and Norwich City (0-1 on October 24).
The defeats racked up by Tony Pulis side includes losses at Crystal Palace (2-0 on October 13), Leicester City (2-3 on October 31), and most recently against Manchester United (2-0 on November 7).
The Gunners, managed by long serving manager Arsene Wenger are in indifferent form, with two wins, one draw and two defeats in their last five games in all competitions. Both of their recent wins came in the league against Everton (2-1 on October 24), and Swansea City (0-3 on October 31).
The FA Cup holders drew their recent derby against North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur (1-1 on November 8), but suffered embarrassing defeats against Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup (3-0 on October 27), and Bayern Munich (5-1 on November 4).
Saido Berahino and Salomon Rondon are the bright lights in West Brom’s attack and they will be looking to capitalize on the space behind the Arsenal back four. Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud have been in good form recently for the Arsenal, and will be looking to punish a very vulnerable West Brom defence.
West Brom have been poor against top half opposition this season, while the international break has given Arsenal a chance to get some of their injured players back. I see this game ending in a comfortable victory for the Gunners.
