Getafe welcome Barcelona to the ‘Coliseum Alfonso Pérez in Getafe, Madrid in game week 10 of the season 2015-16 in the Spanish La Liga. The game kicks off at 20:30 CEST on Saturday, October 31, 2015 and promises to be an interesting clash.
Barcelona have gained one position to second in the league standings behind Real Madrid with 21 points from the nine matches. They are only behind on goal difference at the moment while the home team Getafe are in the 13th position with 10 points from the nine matches.
Barcelona are slowly picking up form after two good performances against Rayo Vallecano which they won 5-1 and against Eibar which ended 3-1. Their previous three games resulted in defeats against Sevilla and Celta Vigo and a win against Las Palmas, but the defending champions are showing signs of returning to their best ahead of their visit to Getafe.
Getafe meanwhile have been quite inconsistent this season and the last five results reiterates the fact. Two wins, two defeats and a draw has resulted in them earning seven points in the period.
The wins have come against Las Palmas and Levant while the defeats have been against Sevilla and Atletico Madrid. The lone draw during the period was the game against Celta Vigo away from home.
Luis Suarez is starting to show some flashes of his brilliance after scoring four goals in the last two games. Neymar has also picked up form in the absence of Lionel Messi who still remains sidelined with injury.
The visitors will have the likes of Víctor Rodríguez, Pablo Sarabia, Pedro León and Šćepović up front to bank on for a good show against the Catalans but they will be up against it as star striker Álvaro Vázquez is sidelined through injury.
Barcelona are the odds on favourites for the match but Getafe at home is a dangerous team and could cause an upset if they put in their best performance.
