The French team in the A1 Grand Prix is A1 Team France, and they are the winners of the 2005-06 season, also the first season of the A1 Grand Prix. Owned by Jean-Paul Driot, the team is managed by Driot Associates Motor Sports(DAMS), which is also Driot’s racing team.
The team launch, at Hotel de Crillon, Paris, for the 2007-08 season was on 24th September, 2007. Joining the team as advisor will be Olivier Panis, a former Formula One driver. Four drivers had raced for the A1 Team France since the 2005-06 season.

Though for the main 2007-08 season, Loic Duval was the driver for the French team, accompanied by Nicolas Lapierre, as reserve driver and Nicolas Prost, as rookie driver.
The team has always been near the top and its collaboration with the A1GP Team Switzerland has meant that they have been exchanging notes with a team that has also been a front runner, predominantly, in the A1GP Series.
