Davide Succi started his professional club football at Italian side Chievo Verona and played for them for five years between 2000 and 2005, but could make only 1 league match.
Succi spent his Chievo years mostly on loan for a number of lower division clubs. He played for Poggese, Padova, Como, SPAL and Lucchese during his years at Chievo.
Succi was then signed by Ravenna in 2005 and he played for them for 3 years, scoring 39 goals in 94 league matches. He was quite impressive at Ravenna and was signed by Palermo in the summer of 2008 on a permanent contract.
