Ryan Norman
Ryan Norman is a professional race car driver from Aurora, Ohio. He used to be a motocross driver but is now a full-time race car driver. He was formerly signed under Andretti Autosport but is now signed with BHA or Bryan Herta Autosport. He made his debut in the IndyCar series in 2021 at the Honda Indy 200. Aside from racing, Norman loves to play basketball, video games, and go scuba diving.
Career
His love for motor vehicles started when he was only 3 years old when he sat on his first-ever Honda 50. He quickly moved on to more powerful bikes. Norman’s career started in motocross at the age of 12 when he received his AMA license. When he turned 16, Norman was invited to the Skip Barber Racing School which is a three-day course. After that, he joined the first two rounds of the Skip Barber Winter Series championship. In 2015, he debuted at Road Atlanta and finished seventh.
Also in the same year, Norman took on Franklin Futrelle as his driving coach and took part in the SCCA Formula Enterprises class. He finished second in his debut season at the Sebring International Raceway and won more races later on in his debut season including a win at the Road Atlanta as well as Virginia International Raceway, even securing second place in the championship. He finished second in June Sprints under Comprent Motorsports. He finished second again at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs. It was at the end of the season when Norman debuted in the Formula Atlantic Swift 016.a. He won the race in his class at Sebring.
In 2016, Norman joined the Atlantic Championship with K-Hill Motorsports and won both events in Palm Beach and Sebring. He made his debut with Indy Lights at the Mid-Ohio. In 2017, Norman signed with Andretti Autosport and raced in the Indy Lights Championship. He drove for the team until 2019. 1n 2019 Norman continued to achieve top 5 finishes, eleven of them to be exact, 4 podiums with one win, and finished fourth in the championship. In 2021, Norman joined Byran Herta Autosport and drives car No.88. In the same year, Norman has a recorded 1 win and 2 podiums in the TCR Series.
