Cody Ware is an American professional car racing driver. He drives in the NASCAR Cup Series. He also used to drive in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series, and IndyCar Series.
He is part of Rick Ware Racing.

Player Profile and Early Career
Cody Shane Ware was born on November 7, 1995, in Greensboro, North Carolina in the United States of America. He is the son of Rick Ware, a former professional racecar driver, and is also the owner of Rick Ware Racing.
Racing Career
Cody competed in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Series in 2014 and won the Rookie of the Year Award.
In 2019, he competed in the Shanghai International Circuit with Mark Kvamme and finished second and 14th overall. In 2020, he finished fifth overall in The Bend Motorsport Park. He also debuted in the GT4 America Series SprintX in August 2020 where he finished fifth overall and finished third in the Silver class.
NASCAR
In August 2014, Cody made his NASCAR debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series where he finished fifteenth. He would also go on to race for the NASCAR Truck Series and Cup Series aside from the Xfinity Series.
In his next five seasons with NASCAR, he raced for the following teams namely MBM Motorsports, B.J. McLeod Motorsports, Team Kapusta Racing, and Mike Harmon Racing. He returned to the RWR team in 2020.
It was with them that he finished seventh, his first top-ten finish in the series.
Ware also raced for the 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series to compete for the Rookie of the Year. However, he would leave the team to attend college full-time. He returned to the Truck Series in 2017, racing for the RWR team part-time.
In 2016, Ware attempted the Sprint Cup Series but he failed to qualify. He finally had his Cup Series debut in 2017. He finished 39th in his first race in the series.
Ware experienced a lot of setbacks in 2017, pulling out from the race due to back problems a couple of times, both in the Dover Race and at Pocono. He was also involved in a wreck together with Matt DiBenedetto and A.J. Allmendinger. In 2018, he finally announced his Asperger’s diagnosis.
After his comeback, Ware increased his Cup schedule to 13 races in 2019. He also raced for the series again in 2020 at the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. In 2021, RWR announced that Cody Ware would run the full 2021 Cup season.
However, he was sidelined after he experienced carbon monoxide poisoning at the 2021 Cook Out Southern 500.
In 2023, he finished 14th place at the Daytona 500. He was later suspended by NASCAR after he was arrested and charged with felony assault by strangulation. Zane Smith replaced him in the next race.
IndyCar Series
Ware debuted for the IndyCar Series on June 15, 2021, racing in the REV Group Grand Prix and finishing 19th.
