Santino Ferrucci is an American car racing driver, who is known for driving the No. 26 Toyota Supra for the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He also competes for the IndyCar Series, where he was using the No. 45 Honda for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
At the young age of 14 years old, Ferrucci took interest in karting and eventually made his professional debut in the SBF2000 Winter Series season. Then, after winning 3 out 10 races for the SBF2000 Winter Series season, he proceeded to join the F2000 Championship Series, and he finished the series in 5th place. He also completed races such as the GermanF3 for the EuroInternational, British F3 for Fortex Motorsport. He eventually became the youngest driver to win the British F3. Ferrucci also competed in the Toyota Racing Series, where he finished the series at 3rd place.

Ferrucci’s recent races were in the IndyCar Series, as he debuted at the Detroit Grand Prix in 2018 as a replacement for Pietro Fittipaldi. However, he was forced to retire after his car collided with Charlie Kimball. He returned to the full series of the 2019 IndyCar Series, as he was driving the No. 19 Cly-Del Honda.
In 2020, his teammate Sebastien Bourdais departed from Dale Coyne Racing, so Ferrucci replaced him to race for Dale Coyne Racing using the No. 18 SealMaster Honda. He eventually finished 13th place in points.
Despite his success, he was involved in several controversies. In 2018, he was found guilty of intentionally using his vehicle as a weapon to collide with Arjun Maini. Following the Silverstone F2 sprint race where the both of them were competing, his team Trident Racing tweeted about how Ferrucci and his father’s unlikely behavior against Maini. Ferrucci was also accused of systemic racism because he was insulting Maini’s Indian heritage.
Ferrucci also violated the international sporting code when he proactively put on the slogan “TRUMP - Make America Great Again” in the race. This was not permitted by the race officials because they are not allowed to advertise any politicians during the raise. Ferrucci then was struggling with getting sponsors after he was fired from Trident.
