Scott McLaughlin

Scott McLaughlin is a professional race car driver in the IndyCar Series. He is a part of Team Penske and drives Car Number 3 Dallara-Chevrolet. Prior to IndyCars, he raced in the Supercars Championship.

Player Profile and Early Career

Scott Thomas McLaughlin was born on June 10, 1993, in Hamilton, New Zealand. When he was 9, he and his family moved to Australia. He started racing Karts in 1999 in New Zealand and has been acquainted with fellow racing car driver Nick Cassidy when they were kids.

After Karting, he raced in the V8 Supercar Development Series. In the 2012 season, he raced with the V8 SuperTourer Series. In the same year, he started racing in the Supercars Championship. He was part of the Dick Johnson Racing team and he was in 253 races, winning 56.

IndyCar Career

He made his debut in the IndyCar Series in 2020 at the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg. He joined Team Penske and he drives Car Number 3. He did not win his first race until 2022. It was the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg. Later in the same year, he also won the 2022 Grand Prix of Portland.

In total, he has had three wins in the IndyCar Series and has had 8 podium finishes, and has made it to three pole positions.
