Charles Farmer was a member of the legendary Alabama Gang. He won three consecutive NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division Championships between 1968 and 1971. In the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, his luck wasn’t as good.
His best ever finish was a Fourth place in 1968 at the Middle Georgia 500, the inaugural race of the 1968 season, which actually took place in 1967. Farmer also won a number of other track championships in Alabama and was well into his 60s by the time he retired from competition.
