Even though Bobby Isaac took seven years to make a mark in the Grand National division, he is one of the most talented drivers in NASCAR history. With 37 NASCAR Cup Series wins under his belt, Isaac also had 50 pole positions, 20 of which he took in a single season, in 1969, and 170 top-10 finishes to his credit.

Isaac also won the NASCAR Cup Series championship in 1970, after he topped the field. The same year he set a record by running at 201.104 mph at Talladega Superspeedway, which was a world closed-course speed record at that time. Isaac’s skill was constantly on display, and in 1977, he passed away after a heart attack.
