If you have been there and have done it all, you must know what obstacle course racing is all about. For the first-timers, you must not worry at all as Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) is about unlimited fun, excitement, passion, and thrill. If you have enrolled yourself in Bone Frog Challenge or other obstacle course racing to be held in 2015, here are top tips for mastering the OCR and enhancing your fun. 
1 Forget about comfort. Obstacle course racing takes you out of your comfort zone and get you right there on the road, over the hills, and in the mud. You would get wet, get dirt and grit on your clothes and shoes, get scratched and bruised, and sweat a lot. You may be hurt as well. So be prepared.
2 In most obstacle course racing, there is 80% of running and 20% obstacles. If you want to enjoy success at OCR, it is important that you are able to run. You must be able to run hard and long. There are many training schedules that prepare you to improve your strength and endurance and let you run better.
3 Build your strength. If you are strong, you would not just be able to run for long, but would also be able to meet other challenges of the Obstacle Course Racing. Some of the exercises that help in building body strength are press-ups, pull-ups, squats, planks, and sit-ups, amongst many others. These exercises are usually part of circuit training. Do them every day to be really strong.
4 Follow a healthy living schedule. Being healthy is not just going to help you in 2015 obstacle course races, but also in other sporting events that you may participate in. Eat healthy to keep yourself fit and fine. Drink plenty of water to flush out harmful toxins from your body and to keep yourself hydrated while you are practising for the OCR. Get active and take lot of sleep to keep you healthy.
5 Get Obstacle courses racing gear, such a shoes and gloves. Having the right gear is very important as it helps in preventing possible injuries and accidents and lets you perform better in the OCR. Since you would be doing a lot of running, make sure you have the correct shoes to keep your feet comfortable. Gloves can make a massive difference, especially during winters. No matter how excellent is your grip strength, if the hands get cold, they would be useless.
6 Team up. Teaming up while training boosts motivation and makes the entire experience of preparing for the Obstacle course race so much fun. Plus, when you train in a group, you learn a lot from others.
7 Last but not the least, have fun. Obstacle course racing is supposed to be fun. So enjoy every bit of it and you would surely succeed in it.
