Reigning Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel says isn’t too concerned about how his title rivals after progressing at this stage of the season.
The Red Bull driver, who has taken out the past three world championship titles, has been enjoying the new RB9 car in Jerez in recent days.
“I’m pretty happy. The car didn’t have any problems in terms of reliability, so I’m very, very happy,” Vettel said.
“We could do a lot of laps every day and about the performance we cannot really say anything.
“We don’t know what the other people are doing and at this stage we do not really care that much.”
Meanwhile, Vettel looked ahead to the opening Grand Prix of the season, acknowledging conditions in Australia would be vastly different to Spain where most teams are currently testing.
“Australia is a very different track with different conditions and I reckon in Barcelona it’s going to be a little bit cooler than here and cooler than in Australia so it might be difficult to give a final heads up before the start of the season,” he said.
