The VJM02, Force India F1’s 2009 challenger, will make its track debut at the Spanish circuit, Jerez, on Sunday. The Mercedes-engine car will be unveiled right before a multi-team test, and present at the launch will be the two drivers, Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil, as well as team owner, Vijay Mallya.
Last season, Force India, previously Spyker, was unable to score any points, despite being backed by Ferrari power. This season the team is all set to win some much needed points, complete with a new management and technical partnership with McLaren.
Apart from Force India, only Scuderia Toro Rosso and the stressed Honda team are yet to showcase their 2009 cars.
