In the build-up to its debut in the 2026 Formula One World Championship, Audi announced its official name and logo on Monday

Following the confirmation of a title partnership deal with global fintech Revolut last July, and in the countdown to its debut at the FIA Formula One World Championship in 2026, German automaker Audi announced its official name, Audi Revolut F1 Team, and logo on Monday.

The outfit also revealed the date for its global launch in Berlin, set for January 20, 2026. At the exclusive event, the brand will present its full identity, showcasing the R26 inaugural challenger full race livery.

According to the brand, the immersive experience “will show how the visual identity will shape its debut season and translate Audi’s design principles into a striking presence on the Formula 1 starting grid.”

Last November, the team unveiled the Audi R26 Concept featuring a distinctive titanium, carbon black, and Audi red color design, sporting the trademark four red rings.

Gernot Dollner, CEO of AUDI AG and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sauber Motorsport AG: “Unveiling the Audi Revolut F1 Team name and logo marks another major milestone on our journey into the pinnacle of motorsport. Both give our ambition a clear identity, reflecting a strong vision and innovative spirit.

We now look ahead to Berlin in January, where we will officially present this exciting new chapter for the Audi brand to the world.”

The automotive giant, part of the Volkswagen Group, will be responsible for building the first F1 Power Unit in more than a decade in Germany at the Audi Competence Center Motorsport in Neuburg an der Donau.

Back in 2022, Audi agreed on a strategic partnership with the Sauber Group, working together to develop the Formula 1 project.

Eventually, Audi AG acquired 100 percent of the Swiss Group, which saw the outfit that competed at the pinnacle of motorsport under the Sauber brand for the last time at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix transitioning into the Audi F1 factory team.

As a result, Sauber Motorsport AG will be renamed Audi Motorsport AG, and the team’s Technology Center located in Bicester, Great Britain, will be renamed Audi Motorsport Technology Center UK.

Nevertheless, the company is committed to “honor its past by keeping the names of Sauber Holding AG and Sauber Technologies AG,” synonymous with motorsport and innovation.

Speaking about the team identity, Mattia Binotto, Head of Audi F1 Project, commented: “This announcement gives a name and a face to the incredible work being done by the team.

The team is taking shape, driven by a culture of precision and relentless ambition. The Berlin launch will be the first moment we stand together as a collective and invite our global fan base to join us ahead of our debut in 2026.”

Furthermore, a public opening on January 21 will allow the fans to be part of the inaugural moment with less than 50 days to the season opener in Australia, early in March.
