A BUSY SEASON AHEAD
Last week, the Ferrari Academy (FDA) member fulfilled his test driver duties with the Maranello-based squad, testing in the Fiorano track at the wheel of the 2018 SF71H.
On Friday, he will be driving the C41 in the first free practice session of the Formula One Portuguese Grand Prix.

“The two sessions I had with the team in the last two years have been extremely useful in getting me accustomed to the way a Formula One team works, and I am confident I can hit the ground running in my new role as one of the reserve drivers at Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN.
“I can’t wait to be in the car and help the team continue its progress.”
The Ferrari Junior made a first testing appearance in Formula One with the team back in 2019 - driving the C38 at the in-season test - followed by a second outing in December 2020, taking part in the post-season Abu Dhabi test at the Yas Marina circuit.
Frederic Vasseur, Team Principal Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN and CEO Sauber Motorsport AG, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Callum to our team: his journey through the junior series has been an impressive one and he is, without doubt, one of the most talented young drivers coming through the ranks.
“He has worked with us before, each time leaving a lasting impression thanks to his work ethic and good feedback, and I have no doubt he will be a very positive addition to Robert Kubica.”

He claimed two podiums and a pole position in Monza, ending eleventh in the driver’s championship.
In 2018, he competed in GP3 (Formula 3) with the ART Grand Prix team, finishing the season in third, capturing two wins, reaching the podium on seven consecutive occasions in his rookie season.
FORMULA 1 RETURNS TO PORTIMAO
The third round of the 2021 F1 season, the Portuguese Grand Prix, will take place at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao on Sunday.
The Portimao circuit will feature a second DRS zone, located between Turns 4 and 5.
Last year, the Grand Prix returned to the series calendar after a 24-year absence, with Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton taking pole position and his 92nd victory in the series.
After a challenging race, Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen completed the podium in second and third, respectively.
